The Great Grubb in Totnes impressed with its welcoming atmosphere. John and Sandra provided a friendly and helpful introduction, sharing local tips. My room, the Small Double Room, was clean and comfy, with thoughtful touches like tea and coffee facilities. Breakfasts were stunning, featuring quality ingredients that truly brightened my mornings. The courtyard garden offered a lovely place to relax. A bit of noise from the surroundings made it difficult to fully unwind at times. The parking situation could be tricky during busy periods, but overall it was a nice base for exploring the area.

Perfect for a tranquil getaway
I was absolutely charmed by the warm hospitality offered by the hosts, who greeted us as if we were family as soon as we arrived. The breakfast in the lovely garden was the best part of the day, hot and perfectly cooked each morning even with great attention to the quality of ingredients
It wasn't inexpensive, but worth every penny.

Lovely hosts and delicious breakfast
I had a fantastic stay with welcoming hosts who made sure my gluten-free breakfast was a treat, thanks to John's cooking. My room was cozy and well-equipped, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like hot chocolate sachets. The location was perfect, just a quick stroll to the town center, but it could have benefited from cleaner common areas.
